Unseen but heard in the big field near the powerlines. Series of short low twangy grunts, often occurring in pairs. House Wrens, Winter Wrens and Carolina Wrens were all present and vocalizing for comparison. The bird sang at one point ruling out Marsh Wren (and a wintering Common Yellowthroat). I'd also expect the Marsh Wren call to be decidedly not 'twangy'.
