觀察細節
(note these are Marilyn's notes from Birdline Victoria at the time; sighting was later submitted to BARC and squillions of people came to see it) "We found a single bird by itself in the 85WC-9 Conservation Pond and observed, sketched and photographed it from 12.30 to 1.30 p.m (camera through scope). We later told Dave Torr and friend and they phoned us at 4 p.m to say they'd seen it. We sent average quality photos to Mike Carter, who confirmed the ID and said it was a juvenile" I remember Marilyn picked it out initially because it's feeding method was different to the Curlew Sands and RNSs in the pond with it - like a sewing machine. Longer, straighter bill compared with Curlew Sands nearby.
