**Stakeout rarity found about ten minutes earlier by Kim Steininger. Seen foraging along the path to the right (southeast) of the boardwalk. Very large streaked sparrow with large bill, and peaked head. Broad pale eyeline and peaked head vaguely suggestive of Cassin's Finch. Distinctive whitish area at bend of the wing. Heavily streaked below. Blackish throat, smudy dark breast and extensive patterning on undertail coverts on this date indicate 1st-spring male. Never heard vocalize. Photos and video.
