Came across a Māmane tree that contained at least eight birds. Seven took off in a flock— very vocal, suspect a pre-breeding flock. Singing and calling. A single male remained, foraging alone. Photos taken. Many other encounters in the same area, but likely members of the same group passing back and forth.
