Adult female that is presumably the same one I have previously posted photo(s) of at this location. Noticeably smaller than the male occasionally seen. It scraped and pecked away at a series of pine trees almost continuously for over 2 hours. Was hidden behind trees or bushes for over 30 minutes, and it didn't come close to the trail to get its picture taken for well over an hour. Original photo attached.
