观察细节

Surprising for the time of year. Rare. Heard giving the “whine” call several times a good distance away off and on for about an hour. It never came any closer. Managed to get a recording. I’m told they used to be breeders here but there hasn’t been any evidence in at least the past 15 years. Could be a sporadic nester but generally tough to detect.
