Surreal experience. Two flew out of a tree and circled off to the west, one carrying something looking like a cicada. Checked tree for nest only to find three more kites still perched. All five seen at once. Location not exact. Photos. Like the communal roost tees I used to see in the Everglades. Checked area an hour or so later and saw none so maybe dumb luck.
