A drake green-winged teal of the Eurasian form. Brown toned head and green cheek. Fine white lines tracing from bill and up sides of forehead. Prominent white horizontal wing line extending along scapulars, very different from surrounding drake teals with vertical white spur on sides of breast. Dabbling with 30 other green-wings in front pools. This species has occurred in previous springs at this site. Photos to follow.
