Continuing. Found lone male. Larger than nearby Hooded Mergansers, flanks gray, not all white like male Common Merganser. Bill long, narrow, orange. Head dark green, throat with distinct white collar, breast a light brown at the front changing to dark brown toward the side and shoulder area, back with large white splash running from shoulder back to near the rump.
