It is DEFINITELY the MUTE SWAN vocalizing! The grunt was very soft even though I was quite close. The swan grunted several times as it swam off, and the other swan finally grunted back and followed. Recorded at 9:57. Note QUITE "mute"!

Wild? Pinioned? Swimming together . Fed in area near trail. Grunted to one another before swimming away. Recorded.
