NOTES: (Gen. Climate: Dry. Cover Density: Medium.) Presumed paired with female seen in tree seconds sooner. A male House Finch was chasing an apparent female around in the top of a dead stub on a Sycamore when the female Cowbird flew into the tree below them. An Hepatic Tanager male flew in to a conspicuous perch as though he might sing, but the male cowbird flew in to the highest point in the tree and began to sing. The female cowbird and the tanager left. The two finches had left when the tanager arrived. The male finch had been singing in the top of the tree, but only briefly, and we did not record.
