A "mega-brood" of Common mergansers, a species sometimes known to have females that either "collect" or steal away the chicks of others, or that have females that lay their eggs into one common nest cavity
Observation details
One large mega-brood again this year, with one female and at least 23 fledglings! Another single female seen. Photo will be uploaded as soon as possible showing the mega-brood with 23 countable fledglings and the female.
