Observation details
One adult individual observed for about one hour, until it flew away. The bird moved around in the canopy of a fig-tree where it fed on the leaves of the tree. Clear preference for the fresh sprouts at the end of the branches - multiple other of-bitten sprouts indicated that the tree was well visited by these pigeon. No fruits present on the tree, so leaves was the only food that this particular tree could offer. Bird used extended periods of time in between foraging-activity, clearly dousing off as it digested the leaves. As with earlier observations, the pigeon didn’t seem disturbed by human activity below the tree, and would only occasionally watch as people walked by.
