Observation details
The regular breeding crossbill in the South Hills. Recorded and photographed. Giving distinct "dip-dip" call notes frequently. Many birds with color bands, part of a long term study by researchers at University of Wyoming. Many were coming down to eat salt from under the deck of one of the summer cabins.
