Observation details
Photos. Noted a yellow spotted meliphaga giving an unfamiliar call (unlike mimic or puff backed). Foraging in tree tops on side of road. I followed it and photographed it, because the gape looked bright and the cheek spot small. Photos reveal a much brighter (even orangey) gape compared to a small dull ear patch. Would seem to be the strongest support I will get for flavirictus!
