Observation details

Adult Great Spotted Kiwi feeding along the Heaphy Track, in a fern covered ditch/stream. Observed for over 30 minutes before we continued hiking. Not at all phased by people. Feeding behaviour included flipping small stones and 'bubbling' under water to agitate substrate.
