Observation details
Honestly one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had with a bird! I went down the bog trail to where the second service road intersects the trail. One side of the road is young deciduous shrubs, the other side is wiregrass. I heard some sparrows calling quietly and saw movement but thought they were Chipping Sparrows. I stood still and looked around when I heard something rustle to my left. About ~5 feet in front of me was a Bachman's Sparrow!! It seemed to notice that I had noticed it and decided to stay put. I inched over and got a clear shot of the bird. The male sang right behind me as I took a video of the bird, then flew in where the two called to each other. For the next 15 minutes or so the male perched up and sang and both sparrows ran around in the shrubs, like little mice. They were very tame and naked eye views were amazing! Such a cool bird.
