Calling sitting atop Prosopis chilensis giving "chkk, chkk, chkk" alarm call quietly. Flew off to another tree where it continued to call. Perch only around 2-3meters above the ground. Habitat was dry desert scrub--very open Prosopis cover. ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Passer domesticus indicus to Passer domesticus to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
