Was walking in the parking area just above the Guest House 28 and heard a solo bird calling in the trees uphill from the parking area. I made an audio recording and sent it to my brother, Chris Tessaglia-Hymes, and used the Merlin Bird ID app to identify it. Chris simultaneously identified it (by sound) as a Pine Grosbeak. I heard the bird calling two different times in this area, having flown from one spot to another slightly farther away. iPhone audio recording attached.
