The reasons i went with Grey were because it was with two other Grey Whistlers and the particular location at Bend in the road. I photographed it in the Monsoon Forest area where i have typically seen Grey Whistlers in the past. While i have seen Mangrove Golden Whistler around Buff Creek it has never been near here. In addition I used the juvenile pictures in ABG which show a bird in post juvenile moult - “note rufous ear coverts and wing coverts” which I thought this bird showed and perhaps was just a bit more rufous.
