This Wood Thrush was found by Howard King on 29 May 2017 and photographed here by Curtis A. Marantz on 1 June 2017 at the Thousand Palms Oasis, Coachella Valley Preserve, Riverside County, California.

(we heard and saw the continuing bird that was found on 29 May by Howard King beginning at 5:38 am and continuing to sing intermittently until about 8:15 am; although this bird was far easier to see well today I studied it less carefully than on previous days, instead concentrating on getting photos and recordings)
