A young Black Kite was sitting on the park floor. It looked stressed, so I try to lift it with a pair of sticks, before holding it with bare hands, just to make sure it is not infected. Funnily enough, it was clutching on to a dead mouse! It was sitting still, even after me standing so close! So I walked about 20 steps away and sat on a bench and tried making a few videos on my phone, which had decent zoom. After observing it for about 25 minutes, a dog passed by and tried to sniff the kite. I shoo-ed it away. In another five minutes, it started calling loudly. No other kites were around. So I move a little away from the tree, behind which I was sitting earlier to get a better view. I sat on the park walkway and tried making a video again! This time when the young kite called, an adult kite swooped down quickly, before I could realize and hit me on the head!!! This is the first time I've ever been attacked by a bird and hopefully will be the last too 😂😂 Will attach an unedited video. Excuse the profanity at the very end! 😅
