See warning in checklist comments. Continuing, seemingly large dark duck with pale/whitish spot behind auriclulars and base of bill, did not observe white secondaries. The bird was swimming alone along opposite (west) shore at first towards the dam (south) then gradually moving its way north to about opposite the ramp.
