Associating with some American Wigeon. Not in a plumage I see that often, but I believe it was a male in eclipse plumage. I noticed the solid rich brown head which upon closer observation in the scope seemed to have a lighter buffy patch on top of the head. The flanks appeared rusty and gray. Maybe the gray feathers are coming in as the eclipse plumage fades? Attaching some very poor quality documentation photos. Laura Richmond was able to stop by and see it as well. It started to rain pretty hard towards the end of my stay.
