I watched as this Great Blue Heron flew out from the shoreline over the water then dropped into water over its head catching a catfish and literally swimming back toward the shoreline until it was in water shallow enough that it could stand on the bottom before trying to eat its meal. I was amazed it was able to catch the catfish in that manner.
