continuing bird, foraging in pond 11. distance from viewing point approx. 1000 ft. small tern, white body, white tail, with the 'crescent' shaped black pattern behind eye. rapid wing beat pattern (almost like a butterfly flutter), staying low and foraging back and forth in the channel behind pond 11 berms by dipping occasionally. thanks to Nancy C for sending notification about the bird and to Jim for scanning the J street location. grainy photo included for evidence :)
