Large flock of very flighty Least Terns on beach next to pass. First-of-season arrivals for us. Tiny terns in breeding plumage, with white forehead, black mask connecting to black crown and nape, yellow bill with black tip, pale gray wings and mantle, and yellow legs. Counted by tens, conservative estimate.
