[This recording begins with two songs of Pipilo maculatus in the first part (not Pheucticus melanocephalus, as indicated in voice announcement), then five calls of the Pipilo in the second part. Only the third part has the songs of Amphispiza bilineata (21 songs of two types switching types at 1:56, 2:00, and 2:05, and then adding a terminal trill in songs after 2:38). Note that one song appears to be decapitated by a cryptic stop-start at 1:49. Quality changed from 3 to 2-3 (maybe 2 in places, but with much wind in others - the calls of the towhee are quality 2 - the BEST part of the whole recording!) - CAM - 9 February 2005].
