NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 80. Bulk reel: 385. One ascending whistle, then quiet "ao" calls by male; another ascending whistle, a few more "aos," silence, then a display; then in bird's new position, more "ao" calls (~ 1 1/2' edited out due dog barking), another silence then another display. Quality: 1-2. Level: +2. 203 with std. equal. (All behavior as usual, with male centering displays around female, then following after her after finished display period (~ 5:50 AM) and she moved off to feed; part of the time before they left they were alone together, perhaps feeding and giving very quiet talk.) (Most of the action was not even recorded today because of excessive traffic noise.) Note: From the sound of these displays, I suspect I had pointed the parabola to the "sky"; the recorded sound seems fairly as the ear heard it.
