Hiked up Mt Ive before sunrise and searched extensively around the summit for three hours without hearing a single bird. Then headed to Mt Scott and climbed directly to the top. Just as we were about to head back after another unsuccessful search, we finally heard one calling from the north slope. Eventually located it about 200 meters north of Mt Scott’s summit—what a relief after such a long hike!
