Continuing. about ~1 mile down the trail and East at the first intersection. between pole 1 and 2. When I approached the Ani spot, I saw 4 Anis sunning in a shrub on the south side of the trail. I assumed it was the 3 Smooth Billeds and 1 Groove billed, but tried to get a better look to discern. I was able to record vocalizations of both Groove billed and Smooth billed. Will upload audio. Got crappy iphone pictures, but the audio is diagnostic.
