A juvenile bird. FINALY after all these years of going at that site and hoping for one. After missing 1 by seconds years ago and after missing one while banding shorebirds a few years after…it finaly happened. Same size as Semipalmated with long (a bit) droopy ish bill. Bright rufous on edges of upper scapulars, also a bit of bright rufous on top of head and on auriculars. Not scaly like a Baird and no primary projection like a Baird or a White-rumped. Black legs. Pale face.
