NOTES: Six or eight birds, four perched together on a branch, in a mixture of scrubby bushes and fallen wood about 30 meters away and 1 1/2 meters up amid tangles of dead branches along the shore of the upper arm of the new reservoir; they tended to call only when I flushed them [partly cloudy (high thin clouds), calm to trace breeze, 83-84¡ F].
