A notable observation occurred on July 1st. After a complete absence from the camera since 24 March, Southern Vancouver Island Canada Jays (Perisoreus canadensis) reappeared at the feeder accompanied by at least two recently fledged juveniles. This observation strongly suggests that a breeding territory is located in close proximity to the site, likely within an estimated 200–500 m. The feeder is situated at an elevation of 485 m. A more detailed account will be prepared subsequently.
