Small gull with dark ear spot, pinkish/red legs, black bill and relatively large, dark eye with incomplete, white eye ring. This was a chill group of gulls (in more ways than one as it as not much over 20 degrees!)--I was able to slowly approach to less than 30 feet before they started looking around. One or two of the Ring-bills flew off, but the Bonaparte's stayed put the entire time I was observing.
