I am adding this species because Merlin (at eBird.org) says my two photos of the bird I had recorded as Wahlberg's are actually this species. Very possible that I mis-heard our guide's explanation of this species name, and that the Wahlberg's was another bird I didn't photograph. Quite a display. brown eagle with yellow bill flew into vegetation some distance off; flew and landed a couple more times, then boldly landed in the open at the water's edge at the far left end of the pan. see above notes for EGGO. Life bird.
