*rare; tiny (wing = 118mm) all-dark storm-petrel with short graduated tail and weak ulnar bar. Suspect HY by narrow and rounded outer rects, aligned growth bars on tail, and long sharp claws with little wear. Bird had bare brood-patch. Leg gauge indicated band size 0, which we did not have in our possession, so r5 on the left side was notched for individual identification. Captured at 0020 net run; 8th island record and 4th for the 2025 field season. Photographed extensively.
