NOTES: (Breeding Status: Territorial, territorial paired, breeding.) "Tail": Male with his tail, "Tail-less" female has lost her tail when they lost their nest (I found the broken three eggs under his "focal tree"--in the water but they still were very active in their territory). The male with tail was very aggressive chasing out other birds from his territory, congeners and others. he followed the female tail-less and sang when she was in their focal tree which was a lone treein cleared pasture outside the wooded area. The nest was likely lost to the monkeys and the female's tail, also. The male chased many P. jocosus from his territory; he would allow none to come into it. The chasees went for a considerable ! distance away from the tree. The male aerial display is described on cut LNS #74537. Other Behaviors: Perform Visual Display.
