Rare. Found earlier by Austin Johnson. Relocated by ER. Photographed. Seen first just before 4:10, mostly observed from 4:20 to 4:50 when it became cooperative. White eye ring and crown stripe. Orange wash to the breast with fine spotty streaking to the flanks but not center. Bright orange supercilium. Able to observe the purplish nape, and other features well as the bird foraged dutifully in the grasses nibbling on seed heads. Unique back pattern with dark centered feathers and lighter fringing creating a vertical scalloping effect.
