Détails de l'observation
Not knowing enough in advance about this species, I literally spent hours trying to figure out if one of the 25 or so Lesser Yellowlegs was one of it, taking distant photos of every single one until I finally found this individual at about 2 pm. Similar size to the Lesser Yellowlegs, but the decurved (and longer) bill was the first difference that was noticeable. Next things that I could also see (when the light was good) were that the legs were yellowish-green instead of solid yellow, it had a solid white eyebrow and then the most obvious feature in that it foraged with its bill very differently. (After examining photos with both this bird and a Lesser Yellowlegs beside it I could also see that its body was a little smaller but plumper.) Thanks to the more experienced birders that reported it yesterday. Attached one of many distant photos that also has a blurred Lesser Yellowleg in the foreground.
