Commentaires

NOTES: Nagra 3; 24" reflector. Flight songs: 1/1/1/1/.5/1/1/1/.5/.5/1/1/1. Comments re: weather, time, etc. LNS: The subject of this recording was changed from Anthus spinoletta to A. rubescens to reflect current taxonomy. -Matt Medler, 31 March 2010. [A long recording with many parts, most of which probably represent decapitated Flight Songs. The first part contains exclusively Song elements as described by BNA; the second part began with a few elements typical of the "Tail-up" Calls described in BNA (0:43-0:44), followed by Song elements (0:44-1:03); the third, fourth, and fifth parts contained exlusively Song elements; the sixth part began with Song elements, but ended with ones like those of the "Tail-up" Call (3:37-3:57); the seventh part began with "Tail-up" elements (4:02-4:12) and ended with Song elements (4:13-4:20); the eighth part had just a brief clip of Song elements; the ninth part had a short series, the description of which was not in BNA (4:39-4:41), followed by a series that began with "Tail-up" elements (4:50-4:52) followed by Song elements (4:52-5:16); the tenth part contained exclusively Song elements; the last part initially alternated between "Tail-up" elements and Song elements, but it mostly represented the latter. Quality changed from 2-3 to 2-3, 2 (signal not too bad but most vocalizations were decapitated) - CAM - 16 December 2004].
