A newly hatched chick in the hand. This guy (I forgot it's name!) dedicates it's life for the preservation of this site. Het is truly the only reason why the Maleo still breeds at this site. And he's a very easy-going guy as well. This chick was hatched in a hatchery, and will be released after a day to fetch for itself. It's got a little wound on it's head because it was attacked by rats. Elevation: 1027 m. Date added to IBC: June 23, 2016.
