A bird I have heard but failed to see numerous times (both on Santa Isabel and during the past nine days exploring Bougainville), tonight we discovered that the easiest way to see Fearful Owl is to road cruise around the old Paguna Mine! One was even sitting in a tree above a busy roadside food stall. Ridiculous!
