Detalles de la observación
Heard only -- audio attached. My understanding is they are beginning to be expected around here for the season due to the irruption from their breeding grounds up north, and so I had listened to some recordings of their calls on ebird a few days prior. Luckily, that was enough to recognize the consistent "pzeer" calls coming from nearby on the main trail along the south edge of the lake. When I approached the trees where the bird was calling from up high near the treetops, the bird apparently flew off, with the calls continuing off into the distance as it flew south toward Carrleigh Parkway park. I never did see the bird unfortunately, despite attempting to relocate it by hiking the nearby trails and listening closely.
