Photos, bigger than the male Lesser Scaup, with a thicker bill. The first photo is a still from a video showing the size difference. The second photo shows the head and bill size difference; the male Greater Scaup is right behind the Lesser Scaup, with a Ring-necked Duck to the right. In the video, you can clearly see the size difference. The Ring-necked Duck is to the left, the male Greater Scaup is in the middle, and the male Lesser Scaup is to the right. It looks like it is an immature Greater Scaup or possibly an eclipse plumage bird.
