Possible ‘hendersoni' UPDATE Jul. 19 -- Added photos. This bird looks pretty good for 'hendersoni' to me, with a mostly clean light orange underside contrasting with brownish upperparts (Red Knot-like overall color scheme), broad pale gold fringes on the scaps, and sparse small dark dots on the breast-sides and lower sides. One concern with birds like this is ruling out a slender/pale/early-molting LONG-billed Dowitcher, which I'm pretty sure this isn't (based on dotted, rather than barred, sides + broad pale scap fringes), but I'll get some second opinions. If I can rule that out, then I'll probably be confident calling this a 'hendersoni,' as I don't think 'caurinus' Short-billed can have such a lightly-marked orange underside. If accepted this'll be the 2nd state eBird record for the subspecies.
