Adult. Remarks: Found an active nest of these White-bellied eagles at Suratkal Beach in Mangalore the last week. The nest was located near the lighthouse on the top of a horsetail tree (in fact there are only a few left). The nest is very much active. As it was very high, I couldn't see any eggs or chicks in it. The nest was rarely left unguarded and almost all the time, at least a bird guarded it. There was a change of guard at every half an hour. And, on one occasion, I saw a green branch of some plant on one of the bird's legs. - BPB. Date added to OBI: November 16, 2011.
