NOTES: DUNES BEHIND NORTHERN BEACH; SAND IS. I WALKED UP TO TWO BIRDS PERFORMING THE DANCE BEHAVIOR; PLACED MIKE ON GROUND AND BACKED OFF THE 15 FT. OF CABLE AND COMMENCED RECORDING. SOUNDS GO WITH 'DANCE' BEHAVIOR. DURING LAST PART OF CUT THE 2 BI 2 ADULT(S)RDS GOT INTO A SQUABBLE WITH 2 NEARBY LAYSAN ALBATROSSES AND THE HIGH-PITCHED WHISTLES OF THAT PAIR OF THE OTHER SPECIES IS HEARD. RECORDINGS WERE MADE IN LAYSAN COLONY IN WHICH THERE WERE ONLY A FEW BLACK-FOOTEDS (NIGRIPES). Other Behaviors: Perform Visual Display. Elevation: 2 m.
