Media notes
https://www.xeno-canto.org/405674. I thought this was a duet, but the lower frequency hoots sound like Tricholaema hirsuta. To be clear, I saw the bush-shrike right before I made this recording, but I did not see it actually vocalizing. Update- agreement from Jacob Cooper that the lower hoots match his experience with Tricholaema hirsuta. The higher, less frequent hoots are Malaconotus cruentus (first one at about 7 1/2 seconds). I had seen the bird just a minute before making the recording, but I was not seeing it as it vocalized. Canopy of good rainforest. Cut at about 1:35.
