NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 1. Bulk reel: 416. Weather: Fair. Time: 11:20 to 12:00 PM. 139 tape. The first song is natural. Quality: 2. Level: +5. After that everything is after playback. Voice description of bird being watched, then song by another bird, perhaps its mate. Then other songs by that bird during which some "whines" are heard from the bird in focus. (Prominent in background is Cercomacra cinerascens.) Then song by both birds. In none of these is the funny ending used by the birds. Quality: 2. Level: +5. Then the birds flew to a farther tree. Songs now from both birds have the funny ending but "in focus" bird's song is shorter. The last calls by both birds do not have the ending. Quality: 2. Level: +5.
